Fun and Interactive ways to Learn Spanish

Learning the Spanish language is indeed a great choice. The estimated number of speakers around the world is 500 million people, aside from the fact that it is as an official language of 20 different countries.
However, many individuals despise the idea of learning Spanish or any other foreign language. Because of that, the following are steps on how someone can learn it, without resorting to watch Dora the Explorer:

•HAVE PATIENCE

Take time and never expect to perfect the language right away. It should be attempted in small steps.

•USE FLASHCARDS

Make flashcards by using index cards, and then write on one side a Spanish term, and the English translation on the other. It will be easier to practice reading and pronouncing Spanish words using flash cards, inclusion of images of the words is also advisable.

•TRY SPEAKING TO NATIVE SPEAKERS

This is a good move, because they can correct the words that you can’t express correctly. Things such as idioms and slangs are only possible to learn through them, who are knowledgeable of the Spanish culture and heritage.

•PRACTICE IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR

Try to speak with yourself in front of the mirror and recite all the words you’ve learned so far. It is also advisable to put them all together, and form a sentence or a phrase to master the information.

•USE STICKY NOTES

Jot down all the Spanish phrases and vocabularies you are learning on sticky notes, and put them on your desk or somewhere visible to you. It is also good to label the names of the things inside your house, using their Spanish translations.

•GET MOTIVATION

Treat yourself with rewards every time you get to learn and master a target amount of words in a week. A good reward that still leans towards your goal is to eat at a Spanish restaurant, to make yourself more accustomed to their culture, and aid you in your learning process.

•LISTEN TO SPANISH MUSIC

Listen to music of Spanish artists, to train listening skills. Hearing the language in action will help in learning it better, since you are also trained how to pronounce them the right way.
